      Let the pirates of the Black Pearl entertain you on this fun adventure!  First, you’ll be taken by motor-coach to a panoramic point and see spectacular views while your guide briefs you on the pirates’ history and culture of the island. Then you will proceed to the pirate boat dock. Here you will board this replica of the famous Black Pearl. The Captain and crew, all dressed in their finest pirate attire, will welcome you aboard with a complimentary punch, show you around, and entertain you with stories of the pirates that sailed these waters centuries ago. During your approx. 2-hours panoramic cruise along the coast, you will watch pirates climb up to the crow’s nest in a mock pirate battle and an actor resembling Jack Sparrow sword fighting with another pirate!!!  Also enjoy complimentary refreshment while onboard. At the end of your pirate adventure, you will have approx. 40 minutes to spend at your leisure at the beach complex, choosing among souvenir shopping or relaxing on the beautiful white sand beach where you have a free beach chair. Don’t forget to bring your swimsuit, hat and sunglasses: the show onboard the boat is held on the ship’s deck, often under the sun.

  This Zip-line Adventure at South Shore Canopy has 10 stops plus other 3 optional stops, with very safe 2-line gliding cables system up to 120 meters long. The duration of the canopy adventure is approx 1 hour! Enjoy the tropical scenery and breathtaking ocean views as you glide from one mountain to the next in this untouched natural habitat. This adventure reaches up to 20 meters in height. When you finish the first 10 lines, your may choose to stop or continue the rest of this adventure that consists in crossing 2 hanging bridges and 3 additional zip lines. You will not have to climb back up to the top of the mountain to leave this park; instead a vehicle will be waiting for you at the bottom of the hill and take you to the panoramic meeting point for a stop where you will drop off your equipment and have the possibility to purchase the photos professionally taken from the canopy staff while you were taking your tour and get some complimentary purified water. At the end, you will be able to choose to go back to the cruise ship port or stop at a nice beach and shopping complex. Here you will have another hour to spend at your leisure, before going back to the ship with the same vehicle. No extra charge.
Notes: Minimum age 7 years old. May choose to do the canopy adventure individually or attached by our guide. Weight limit is 325 pounds, and 50” waist line is the biggest size available. Belt, helmet, disposable protector plastic cap, and gloves are provided.         A 1-hour panoramic motor-coach ride, will take you to see small fishermen villages, then stopping at a panoramic point to take some pictures of the views and multi–colored ocean, with also the possibility to purchase souvenirs. Then, you will continue your journey up and down the hills, while admiring amazing views of the coastline until finally reaching the beautiful main destination: Paya Bay Beach (for 1 ½ hour stop). Here you will be amazed by the wonderful views: a secluded tiny resort located on top of a peninsula-cliff overlooking two very different beaches, a blue lagoon in a breathtaking setting, surrounded by palms, cliffs and mangroves, facing two sides of the ocean. While sitting at the panoramic restaurant terraces overlooking the two half-moon bays and the far away end of the island, you will watch the Garifunas (descendents of African slaves who settled here in 1797) performing a traditional dance at the sound of their drums. You’ll be offered a crispy typical yucca bread, treasure of the Garifuna tradition, called “Kazabe” and a fresh natural orange juice. Then, you will be offered to participate to a nature walk along the ocean trail or relax on the beach and take a swim. So don’t forget to wear your swimsuit and to bring a towel. The resort’s chef will have a taste of some famous island appetizers ready for you. On the way back, enjoy a short last stop at another panoramic point to view a far away picturesque stilt-village, Oak Ridge, inhabited by pirates in the past and now the actual home of family-owned fishing companies that after many decades are still the second biggest industry of the island.       You will see our amazing coral reef without even having to get in the water! A 30-minute scenic drive by motor-coach along the panoramic road will take you to a beautiful bay where after walking a boardwalk dock you will board our “Glass-bottom boat”, that is a semi-submarine that does not submerge. Instead you will descend a few steps into the underwater observatory section from where you can view the treasures of the deep of our protected marine park reef,that is considered the second greater barrier reef of the world! While you are seated in air-conditioned comfort, a fish identification guide will explain the underwater environment, as you observe beautiful coral formations, living reef, and colorful tropical fish and if you are lucky turtles too. After this amazing experience, you will be taken to the center of the West End village, a quaint sea-side village, and relax at our beautiful meeting point built on stilts on the water, where complimentary Honduran coffee, lemonade or iced tea will be offered to you.     The Mayan Eden Eco-Park is a nature park in Roatan that brings you back to the ancient world of the glorious and mystical Mayan culture. After a very short transfer by motor-coach, our knowledgeable park guides will brief you and guide you along the Ocelot mountain trail through the virgin rain forest while learning about the Mayan history and culture. Admire old rattans and other trees, pass through a suspension bridge, view amazing replicas of the ancient Mayan sculptures found at Copan archeological ruins on the mainland. You may easily happen to see diversity of animals such as birds, monkeys, parrots, insects and lizards moving freely near you. The park is also home of “Crystal Wings”, the only place in Central America, where butterflies and hummingbirds live together in harmony in a walk–in pavilion containing 3 species of hummingbirds (Amasilia Colirrufa, Amasilia Cianura, and Green Mango), 20 species of butterflies, and food plants for the larvae. Your tour will finish with a panoramic stop for amazing views of the Caribbean coast, the port and of the far away islands for a great photo opportunity.         Roatan’s beautiful protected marine park area is the perfect setting for your Kayak Adventure.  After a short motor-coach transfer along the hillsides you will reach our nice meeting point, try the equipment and leave your personal belongings. Then you will be ready to get wet and start this kayak excursion to be remembered! After a safety briefing, your guide will also explain the area’s ecosystem.  If you are a first timer, don’t worry, as your staff will instruct you on the Kayaking and Snorkeling techniques giving you extra attention and assisting you closely while out. After a short transfer you cross a private bridge and reach Fantasy Island Beach Resort, located in a private island that offers a tropical white sand beach surrounded by lush mangroves, palms and pine trees and untouched coral reefs. Enjoy a tropical welcome fruit punch at your arrival. Then simply relax in a complimentary beach chair, have a swim in the Caribbean’s clear waters or participate to the snorkeling beginners briefing held on the beach by your professional guide. The snorkeling sites in the areas are amazing: a mysterious shipwreck, a beautiful shallow reef and a dramatic snorkeling reef! According to the sea conditions and the sea currents, your guide will decide where it’s appropriate to snorkel, and this can be by boat from the diving center or simply from the gazebo in the shallow reef nearer but nonetheless excellent!         First, you will stop at a panoramic point to take some pictures of the breathtaking views of the coastline with an amazing view of the hills and multi-colored ocean. Then travel to the “The Iguana Hideaway” where you will see many giant iguanas moving freely around you, some of them are more than 3 feet long! You will have the possibility to feed them directly from your hands! You will also spend some time visiting the small in-sea tarpon aquarium. The next stop will be at Dixon Cove in the area of Las Palmas. Here you will take a 20-minute boat ride along the coast admiring the tropical mangrove tree formations and to see the two biggest semi-submerged shipwrecks on the island. Following this experience you’ll enjoy a musical show, performed by the Garifunas – direct descendants of island Caribs and African slaves. They will share with you their most important dances, one of which is called the Punta. Complimentary refreshment is also included.     Discover golf will allow non-golfers to head out to the Black Pearl Golf Course and receive a lesson from one of our resident instructors.  Perfect for friends and family members of golfers going out to play the course, or if you have always wanted to figure out what the fuss about golf is all about! The Black Pearl is the only course in Roatan, nestled among sloping hills and the warm turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea. Upon arrival at the course you will check in and head out to the practice range where our resident instructor will have everything setup for you including golf clubs and practice balls.  You will enjoy a one-hour lesson and take some practice shots and putts! After your lesson and practice time, you will head out to our food kiosk to enjoy one of our signature hot dogs and a soft drink included with your tour.  Bring your camera since the views at the course are just breathtaking.

  Pete Dye’s newest creation is a 7,200 yard, par 72, 18-hole championship course nestled among the sloping hills of Roatan and the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea.  Experience the best greens and enjoy the breathtaking views of the best blues.  All 18 holes are open since November 2010 and the special Paspallum turf, genetically created to be irrigated with salt water, is looking and feeling better every day.   Transportation from and to the pier is included as well as the green fee, shared golf cart and practice balls.  One caddie is required per foursome as a minimum, their fees are not included and must be paid directly to them at the course in cash.  Clubs are not included; Standard, Deluxe and Pro sets are available for rent at the course.  Please inform your Shore Excursion desk if you will require clubs and which kind to pre-reserve them for as limited quantities are available.  Golf attire and etiquette is required.  Golf shoes are not available for rent but sneakers are allowed.  Food and drinks are available for purchase at the course, outside food and beverages are not allowed.

  This discovery-series tour will allow you to learn about Roatan's history, people and customs and enjoy free time for your favourite activity in the West End Village:  relaxing at the beach, snorkeling, shopping and eating are all options.  Once a quaint fishing village located right on the reef, the village is now a prosperous and bohemian dive and snorkel destination with plenty of dive shops, restaurants, bars and shops, and a very active nightlife.  The scenic Western Highway will take you in about half hour from the pier to West End, and during this time your guide will provide you with all sorts of important information and a map.     You will then enjoy about 3 and a half hour of free time after which you will regroup at the designated place and time to return to the pier with your guide.  Notes: All water activities are conducted at your own risk and without supervision.  The main road in West End, although charming is a narrow, sandy road. Handicrafts and souvenirs are readily available.

          This is an easy and interesting sightseeing tour that offers spectacular views of this lush island while your guide briefs you on the history and culture. Las Palmas is also home of the Black Pearl pirate ship and if you are lucky you will even be able to see it docked and take photos with the pirates.
