Uberørte hvide sandstrande og et stort udvalg af fantastiske udflugter"I tell you it's hard for me to stay away… You ain't been 'till you been high in "Montego Bay" …Sådan sang Bobby Bloom i hans 1970'er-hit, "Montego Bay", og nutidens besøgende kan stadig finde det svært at holde sig borte fra denne solbeskinnede caribiske ø! |

MTB11 - OCHORIOS AND DUNN'S RIVER FALLS (about 7 hours and a half) - 2011 - 2012
Travelling through Jamaica's beautiful countryside, you will pass many historic sites and villages to the world-famous Dunn's River Falls. It is believed to be the site of the famous battle of ''Las Chorreras'', fought in 1657 between the Spanish and the English for possession of the island. The English won, and under British rule ''Las Chorreras'' was first owned by Charles Pryce. The site later became part of the 276 acre Belmont property, which was acquired by the Jamaican Government in 1972, to provide for future development of recreational and park facilities. Described as a living and growing phenomenon, it continuously regenerates itself from deposits of travertine rock, the result of precipitation of calcium carbonate from the river, as it flows over the falls. The small dome-shaped cataracts are usually associated with thermal spring activity found in limestone caves. Experience the thrill of climbing the waterfall, in a human chain led by experienced Falls Guides. Pause at the 'massage parlor' and experience the soothing effects of the water as it cascades over the rocks, to the sea. For the less adventurous, view the activities of the more intrepid from the ''safe'' vantage point of the terrace or deck. For those who enjoy Mother Natures gifts, lose yourself in the lush tropical foliage of ferns, bamboos, ginger lilies, crotons, orchids, a variety of palms and breadfruit trees. After visiting the falls, you will be treated to a delicious Jamaican buffet lunch, served in the beautiful garden setting of the Ruins Restaurant before the return drive to Montego Bay.Pris per person Startende fra: € 55,00 Voksne € 50,00 Børn
