Casablanca voksede hurtigt fra at være en lille bosættelse til en udstrakt by med tre millioner indbyggere, og selvom den ikke er en af de berømte kolonibyer, byder Casablanca sine besøgende på en sjælden oplevelse.

Casablanca has a very mild semi-arid Mediterranean climate. Most precipitation falls in the winter months. Casablanca's climate is strongly influenced by the cool currents of the Atlantic Ocean which tends to moderate temperature swings and produce a remarkably mild climate with little seasonal temperature variation and a lack of extreme heat and extreme cold.

 CAS01 - CITY TOUR AND HASSAN II S  MOSQUE ( about 4 hours ) - 2011 - 2012
Founded by the Carthaginian who called the city “Anfa”, Casablanca as it is today is the result of rebuilding work carried out after a devastating earthquake in 1755. This city excursion will take you on a panoramic tour through the main streets and squares of Casablanca with a short stop at a typical local market where you will find a variety of goods and a local natural pharmacy. We will visit the beautiful Cathedral of Notre Dame de Lourdes and the highlight of the excursion will be a visit to the magnificent Mosque of Hassan II, the largest mosque in the Islamic world after Mecca.
Please note: if the call falls on a day of religious celebrations the visit to the Mosque will be around the exterior only.

 CAS02 - MARRAKECH ( about 13 hours with lunch ) - 2011 - 2012
Marrakech is called the “Pearl of the South”; we will reach this vibrant city after a 3-hour bus drive. Enjoy a visit to some of Marrakech key sights, including the Tombs of the Saadian Kings and the magnificent Bahia Palace. After enjoying a delicious lunch our final destination will be the bustling Djeema-El-Fna Square where you will have free time to marvel at the snake charmers, acrobats, jugglers and musicians.

 CAS03 - RABAT ( about 5 hours ) - 2011 - 2012
Take a coach for a 1,5-hour drive to Rabat, the capital of Morocco, home to the government and the residence of King Hassan II. Our excursion begins with a guided tour past the Grand Mechouar Official Square and Hassan Tower and Mosque which, with its 300 broken columns and although uncompleted, is reputed to be one of the largest mosques in the Islamic world. The excursion also includes a walk through the streets of the Medina visiting the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and the garden of Oudayas Kasbah.
Please note: this tour is not suitable for guests with mobility problems; long periods of walking involved. If the call falls on a day of religious celebrations the visit to the Mausoleum will be external. The visit to the Mausoleum will be reconfirmed on the day of call and may be omitted in case the King of Morocco is in town. This tour is foreseen in the afternoon.

Fez is perhaps the most authentic Imperial city in Morocco and this day-long excursion will take you on a 3,5-hour drive to this fascinating city. Highlights of this tour include the ancient Medina Fés El Bali, a typical market area where each souk is dedicated to different crafts, from woodwork to leather. We will also visit Mellah, the Jewish Quarter, as well as the Belgazhi Museum. We will admire the exterior of the Karaouine Mosque and look around the grand Medersa Attarine building. Lunch included.
