Five famous chefs will be joining the MSC Cruises fleet for a series of special theme cruises during the 2011-2012 season, and you’ll be able to enjoy their exquisite culinary creations on board. Our guest chefs have all achieved international acclaim for their work in some of the world’s most prestigious restaurants, and each of them will be creating a special dish dedicated to MSC Cruises. The Associazione Italiana Sommelier (Italian Sommelier Association) has been helping to define the role of sommelier since 1965, as well as promoting wider knowledge of wine and food culture in general. The “Approach to Wine” course* on our theme cruises comprises 5 lessons featuring both theory and practical wine-tasting sessions. Topics covered will include the basics of wine growing, the wines of Italy and the world, and techniques for pairing food and wine.
The cookery schools of “La Prova del Cuoco” (literally “The chef ’s challenge”) tour Italy teaching with the fresh, friendly style made famous by the TV programme of the same name. The course* devised for MSC Cruises comprises 5 lessons covering all kinds of dishes and includes tips on how to compose a menu, choose the best ingredients and move around a kitchen.
